We have walked it
Every route on this page has been travelled by someone in this office. If a homestay has a hard bed or a road is genuinely rough, we will tell you before you book, not after.
One person, start to end
You get one planner's direct number. Not a ticket number, not a helpline. The same person who built your route answers when you are standing at a station at 6am.
Costs written down
Every quote is itemised — stay, transport, permits, guide, our fee. You can see exactly what you are paying for and take anything out.
Local operators, paid properly
We book drivers, guides and homestays directly and pay them full rate. It costs slightly more and it is the reason they look after our travellers.

Questions we get every week
No. The six journeys on this page are just starting points. Most of what we send out is fully custom — different dates, different pace, extra days somewhere you liked the sound of. The planner is the actual product; the packages are examples.
Our planning fee is built into the quote and shown as a separate line, usually 8–12% depending on how complex the route is. You will see the number before you commit to anything. We do not take commissions from hotels, which is why we can tell you when one is not worth it.
Full refund of everything except non-refundable bookings up to 30 days before departure. Between 30 and 15 days, 50%. Inside 15 days we can usually move your dates rather than cancel — we would rather do that than keep your money.
Permits yes, always — inner line permits for Spiti and Ladakh, forest permits for the wildlife trips, all included. Visas we prepare the paperwork and walk you through it, but you file it yourself. We will not charge you for something you can do in twenty minutes.
A good part of what we do. Tell us about mobility, medication, altitude concerns and how long a car journey is comfortable, and the route gets built around that. We will also tell you honestly if somewhere is a bad idea.
